Sleep Help

This is the perfect forum where we can help one another.

Tell us about your sleep challenges. If you need help ... just ask.

On the other hand if you have effective sleep aid tips you'd like to share, there are many insomniacs needing help. If you have found a sleep aid product that works for you, please let us know.

To get started, here's one of my effect sleep aid tips -- if you find yourself waking in the middle of the night, on a consistent basis, say around 3 a.m., try eating a light snack before bedtime. Sleep hygiene rules suggest eating your last meal 3-4 hours prior to bedtime; but if your sleep is being disrupted regularly at the same time, perhaps it's because of low blood sugar.

I find that eating a small piece of cheese helps me sail through the night without waking. Tryptophan foods such as nuts, seed, meat (ex. turkey) or low glycemic foods such as grapefruit also work well.

If you are concerned about gaining weight from adding these extra calories, then borrow calories from another meal. In other words, cut back on your earlier meal size so you can spend these saved calories prior to going to bed.

Now let's hear from you!
